Privacy Policy
Home Manual is designed to help you organize your home without turning your personal records into someone else’s data.
The short version
Home Manual does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not use third-party analytics. In the current version, your home records, photos, notes, and maintenance information stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Information you add
You may add appliance details, serial numbers, warranty information, photos, maintenance notes, reminders, emergency details, and other home-related content. This content is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or collect it.
Photos and text recognition
If you choose to scan a label or select a photo, Home Manual uses Apple’s on-device technologies to recognize text. Images and recognized text are processed on your device and are not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Home Manual schedules local notifications on your device. Notification permission can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may provide Home Manual with limited transaction information needed to unlock or restore your purchase. We do not receive your full payment card information.
PDF exports and sharing
Home Manual creates PDF exports only when you request them. You decide where the exported file goes and who receives it. Once shared with another app or person, their handling of the file is governed by their own privacy practices.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Home Manual does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Your content remains on your device until you delete individual records or remove the app. Removing the app may delete locally stored Home Manual content, subject to Apple’s device backup behavior.
Children
Home Manual is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. Because we do not operate an account system or developer server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Future features
If a future version introduces cloud or family collaboration features, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before those features are released.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
